The National football team(AMAVUBI) players are currently undergoing intensive training as to face teams in the forcoming CECAFA 2017 championship.  The yesterday’s training took place at Amahoro National stadium.

One week ahead of the CECAFA. Amavubi players undergo intensive training

The training resume as the CECAFA is few days ahead to get started.

The Amavubi stars will play the first match with the Kenyan Harambe Stars. Coaches of the Amavubi are keen and fully involved into the preparations and training of the Amavubi players.

However the head coach of the Amavubi stars Mrs Antoine Hey told reporters that people should be realistic on Amavubi performance in the coming CECAFA championship as recent history shown weak performance on its behalf.

We will provide more efforts as to perform as better as possible. We will be facing strong teams including the ones from Kenya and Libya but we will do whatever it takes to more fruitful, he said.

Antoine Hey revealed that he is more focusing on preparing his players for the 2018 CHAN scheduled to take place in Morocco.

Rwanda is listed to face the Kenya, Tanzania and  Zanzibar.

All the matches for this category will take place in the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos city.
