20,000 new jobs for 2013/14 according to the budget

PM Dr Pierre Damien Habumuremyi told the MPs that the government has planned to improve the economic status of Rwandans through the provision of new jobs, the improvement of education system and of food security among Rwandans.

The Prime Minister affirmed that these projects will be achieved as the budget for their execution is set up for the next financial term.

The PM Habumuremyi Pierre Celestin told the Assembly that the budget implementation will be dispatched in four main pillars of national life, including economy, justice, social affairs, and in  good governance promotion, all of these being the milestones of the EDPRS II and the Vision 2020.

Economic projects will be much supported by the next budget compared to the rest of the pillars due to the importance of such issues to national  development.

The foreign market oriented agriculture  will be  significantly developed through the use of modern fertilizers and land consolidation especially in the valley where import oriented crops will be cultivated.

The government plans to spread the number of electric power users through the installation of electrical power  equipment in remote areas at an extent that the  statistics will increase from 16% to 20% of the consumers.

PM Habumuremyi affirmed that this will be achieved as new electric power plants have been settled and are susceptible to produce 100 megawatt this year.

The government also plans to rehabilitate the existing roads and build new ones in order to ease and foster the communication. The new year’s  budget  will be used to finalize the construction of Bugesera Airport and of the Huye Stadium  and the rehabilitation of the Kigali International airport.

In the social affairs, the PM has said that at the end of the next year, every cell of Rwanda will be  equipped with a TV screen to help the local population watch TV and gain information on the current situation.

PM Dr Habumuremyi Pierre Damien said that during the next term, service delivery will be much improved in specific  areas such as in medical sector.

According to the PM Habumuremyi, social affairs relating to friendly neighborhood are  to be much sensitized upon  among  Rwandans.

The PM has told the MP”s  that people accused of having mismanaged the public accounts will be tried to justice in order to eradicate impunity especially among officials.

He also mentioned that the Ndi Umunyarwanda program will be sensitized in all levels even at the Umudugudu level and to Rwandans living in the foreign countries.
