Early this morning the Rwandan Minister of finance and economic planning Amb Claver Gatete presented the Budget to the Parliament. He said that 83% of the whole budget was generated from Rwandan taxpayers and from other Rwandan contributors . He estimated that the 2017/2018 Budget is equivalent to 2 094.9 billion Frw.
He said that the budget will help Rwandan government implement its social economic plan labeled EDPRS2, Sustainable Development Goals and the Rwandan government seven years economic plan,
Amb Claver Gatete said that this financial year’s budget will be invested into normal activities and expenditures.
He revealed that Rwandan economy has increased at the 6.7% while it is planned that it will increase at 6.8% next year.
This year prices at market have increased at 7% while it is planned that it will increase at 5% in the coming year.
The exports have increased at 21.6% while imports increased at 0.7% as he told that Rwandan House of Representatives.
Summarily the budget increased with 140.7 billion Frw as compared to the one of last year.
