67 children born after the Genocide visited the Kigali Memorial Centre

Yesterday children organized in the Ndayisaba Fabrice Foundation visited the Kigali Memorial centre where many children victims of the 1994 Genocide are buried.

98% of those children were born after the genocide. They say that they came to the memorial to give tribute their fellow children who are buried in the site. The walk to remember started from Kinamba towards the Kigali Memorial centre at Gisozi.

The Kigali Memorial centre staff explained to those young minds the sad reality of how their fellow children were killed during the genocide.

One of the children Nicole 12 years old expressed her reaction concerning what they were shown in the Site, saying that what has been done by killers were horrible.

She urged everyone to fight against everything that could lead to genocide again.

Fabrice Ndayisaba who headed the group of those children said that the idea was to let his fellow children learn from the history of genocide so to be able to fight against it during their adulthood.

We came here to pay tribute to our fellow children who were killed in the 1994 genocide. Parents who lost their beloved children, Be strong! he said.

Ndayisaba Fabrice Foundation is a Foundation set up that a 14 years old child and has four years since its official inception.

Fabrice is a friend of the Football Superstar Samuel E’too Fils from Cameroon. He had an idea of setting up a group of young people who play football in order to be united.

It is composed of over 150 children proud of being part of the Foundation where they play football, basketball and athletics during the week ends.

Most of them dwell in Kicukiro District, Kigali city.
