According to a research published today by the National Commission for Unity and Reconciliation, 97% of Rwandans have deep trust on the Rwanda Defense Forces integrity and ability to maintain security. The Executive secretary of the Commission estimated that firm security plays a key role in strengthening peaceful relations and unity among Rwandans.
He therefore called upon youth to be active players in maintaining unity and peace among Rwandans that normally benefit to all of citizens, especially young ones.
Fidel Ndayisaba argued that young people should remain vigilant in backing all security maintaining actors as to establish a lasting peaceful society.
The Speaker of Rwandan Parliement, Chamber of Deputies, Donatile Mukabalisa reminded the youth that the future of Rwanda will always be linked to its past but, she added, they are the ones to keep striving for a positive transformation that benefits to all Rwandans.
She outlined the importance of upholding the values and vision that motivated the Rwandan liberation forces to take arms and fight for freedom and lasting peace.
The event was attended by numerous young people and other high ranking officials including Minister in the Presidency of the Republic Venantie Tugireyezu and Never Again Rwanda Chapter Eric Mahoro.
Eric Mahoro commissioned the youth and all Rwandans to remain active in promoting peace values due to the fact that peace is not a static trend rather a dynamic issue that needs to be sustained.
