According to the Claddho, the FDLR fighters are assembled in Tama and Itala in the Kanyabayonga area where they steal people’s goods and violate women and girls.
The area is 200 kilometers far from Goma, in the East DRC
The human rights organization officials accuse the fighters to harvest the crops of the locals and this causes hunger for people in the region.
Among the crops include sorghum, beans, and Irish potatoes that they bring to their military bases located in Kisabulo, Mwekwe, Mashuta and Busunju.
Creddho urged the DRC government to disarm the fighters as to let the population live comfortably.
