The National Police in the Eastern Province affirms that early this morning, it avoided a bank robb planed by four thieves, killing one of them, injuring one. The Police has arrested other two others. The Police spokesperson in the Eastern Province, SS Benoit Nsengiyumva said that those thieves included Sibomana Faustin, Karangwa Charles, Mulisa Iridahemba and Isiniyande Emmanuel.
According to him, there were a well planned program to rob the Banque Populaire located in Mimuri area, in Nyagatare district. The thieves have been caught in action, attempting to rob and one of them called Sibomana Faustin was short dead, while one of his fellow was seriously injured by bullets.
According to the news, those thieves came from Kigali and were intending to rob the money from the Bank.They brought a melting machine to use as they wanted to break the door where the money was kept safe.
After breaking the door, the robbers stole the amount of money worthy 1, 500,000 Rwf. The security guards caught them and fired upon them killing one of them, injuring another and catching two other remaining.
SS Benoit Nsengiyumva urged the population to abandon this misbehavior because it is unlawful and can cost them their lives.
