The Captain of the Amavubi football national team, Haruna Niyonzima has affirmed to the UM– USEKE reporter that the Young Africans team will be champion of the CECAFA. He said this few minutes after Rwanda won over the Congo -Brazza in match that took place last Sunday.
Haruna Niyonzima said that his team remains among the most skilled ones in the region. He said he will return to the Young Africans team soon.
He affirmed that he will be selected as one of the players to perform during the coming CECAFA even thought he has too busy in Rwanda in getting ready for the match that opposed the Congolese and Rwandan Amavubi last Sunday.
The striker said that the choice of the coach not to select him would be adequate.
Haruna said that Young Africans will be qualified for the CECAFA cup, basing his claims upon the current performance..
This year’s CECAFA Kagame Cup will take place in Kigali starting from August, 09, 2014.
The Group A is composed of Rayon Sports from Rwanda, Young Africans in Tanzania, Adama City FC from Ethiopia, Atlabara from South Sudan and KMKM from Zanzibar.
Group B is composed of Gor Mahia from Kenya, APR FC from Rwanda, KCCA from Uganda, Telecom from Djibouti and Atletico from Burundi.
Group C is composed of Police FC from Rwanda, Vital’O from Burundi, El Mereikh from Sudan and Benadir from Somalia.
