The current evangelist in the Mountain of God’ Church Mukamurenzi Zulphath Deborah has been a prostitute for five years. She advises girls to be self confident and never involve in premature and immoral sex.
The 32 years old, is a wife with children and lives in Kimisagara in Nyarugenge district.
She and husband have set up an evangelist church aimed at healing people’s hearts and change them with the power of the Holy Spirit. She told UM– USEKE that she involved into prostitution at the age of 22 years after hard living conditions she encountered.
In 2002 she got married to a man who was 16 years older than her. At the time when they were celebrating the birthday of their first born, her husband stood up and presented other woman rather than her as his real and beloved wife.
After such frustration, I decided to no longer marry and leave Rwanda. I left Rwanda and went to Uganda, Sudan and Dubai where I entered into prostitution, she said.
She told UM– USEKE reporter that she heard a voice inside her, accusing her to abandon such immoral activities.
For her, her sex activities aimed at contaminating youthful people who were HIV/AIDS negative before as a revenge to her first husband who contaminated her and abandoned her afterwards.
She is currently an apostle in the Church of Mountain of God (Translation for the Itorero ry’Umusozi w’Uwiteka) and will soon celebrate her first anniversary of her Christian appointment in the church.
She lives in Kimisagara where she has set up a church. Deborah advises the youth especially girls and women to not let evildoers involve them into immoral activities aimed at spoiling their lives.
For her, a devoted Christian life is the only shelter for living longer and safer in this worst world.
