This decision was taken this 19, October by the Ministry of health that all the travelers to Rwanda coming from the USA and Spain must be screened as to find out whether they are not Ebola positive.
However the Minister of health Dr Agnes Binagwaho decided to remove this decision, apologizing for the possible consequences the above decision might have come with.
Min Binagwaga twitted that the decision was her own, ‘not endorsed by the Government of Rwanda’.
For her the USA and Spain do not have as many patients as the West African nations such as Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, therefore the decision to screen the travelers from USA and Spain is not relevant.
Presidency of the Republic, through its twitter account, lauded the removal of the decision, but blamed the fact that the decision was taken unilaterally and removed afterwards.
