Rwanda is known as the ‘land of a thousand hills” and the number of visitors is growing steadily every year. The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) uses the presence at the Vakantiebeurs 2015 to inform both the Dutch consumer and the travel industry that Rwanda has more special attractions next to the gorillas in Volcanoes National Park, such as the Akagera NP (savanna) and Nyungwe NP (subtropical forest) and the various coffee and tea plantations that can be visited. Or the 227-kilometer Congo Nile Trail along lake Kivu, which can be done by foot, bike or 4WD and where the night will be spend at local villages.
Rwanda at Vakantiebeurs 2015
The Rwanda stand is located in Hall 2 (Booth C050) and besides representatives of the Rwanda Development Board and the Embassy of Rwanda in The Hague, there will be 3 travel agencies present, namely Access Rwanda Safaris, Amahoro Tours and Mercator Assistance.
Next to the traditional Rwandan dance performances at the stand, Rwanda presents an original promotion. At the Rwanda stand visitors will find a photo-booth where they can make a photo in Rwanda style. Everyone gets a free photo to take home as a souvenir and the photo can found online at www.facebook.com/travelrwanda where each one can tag and share the photo with family and friends. RwandAir will reward the most popular photos with a free ticket to Rwanda!
In the theatre in hall 2 a Rwanda film followed by traditional dance will be shown on the main stage from Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 January from 12.30-12.45 hours.
