The Rwandan clergy Bishop Bimenyimana Jean Damascene of Cyangugu died yesterday after enduring a disease which took his life in one of Kenyan hospitals.
His relatives told Umuseke that he has been hospitalized in Kenya for a while. Unnamed reports indicate that ‘he was suffering’ from a blood cancer.
Bishop Bimenyimana was introduced as a Catholic church clergy in 1980 and crowned as the Bishop of Cyangugu in 1997
He is a native of Nyamasheke, Shangi, Cyangugu in the Western Province.
