Yesterday MIDMAR,MINEAC and MINALOC visited the Kiyanzi Refugee Camp to welcome Rwandan refugees recently chased away,in unpredictable circumstances from Tanzania.
Minister Mukantabana Seraphine,Minister Jacqueline Gahongayire and PS Dr Alivera Mukabaramba visited the camp. Refugees told the delegation in wuich sad conditions they are chased away by Tanzanian authorities
The Kiyanza refugee camp is under construction to enlarge it as to be able to host 50.00 people coming period.
Minister Mukantabana ensured the refugees that both government are working closely so to help the refugees have access to their former properties left in Tanzania.
Among the delegation was Madame Odette Uwamaliya ,the Governor of the Eastern Province .She promised the refugees that all measures possible will be taken to ensure security for them including setting up a nursery school for the children to receive an effective education they deserve.
Statistics say that around six Thousand Rwandan refugees are now back after being chased by Tanzania authorities
