According to Kiyovu’s head coach Gilbert Kanyankore Yaoundé, the 25-year old Murekezi has signed two-year deal, while the other two players, both midfielders; 27-year-old Christian Mbirizi and 23-years-old Ali Mousa are expected to sign anytime soon.
Yaoundé has raided his former club for two other Rwandan youngsters, who include; an 18-year-old winger Jean Marie Girukwishaka and his elder brother, 22-year old defender Michel Girukwishaka.
Yaoundé, who guided the Burundian league champions to their first ever Cecafa Kagame Cup title this year in Darfur after beating APR FC 2-0 in the final, said that while the club is still talking to both Mbirizi and Ali, for the Girukwishaka brothers, it is a done deal.
“If we can get all these players, I think we will have a really good squad to compete for trophies next season, we are looking at other targets from local teams,” the former RayonSports and Vital’O coach told Times Sport.
The Nyamirambo-based side has already signed Sec Academy strikerBlaise Itangiteka and midfielder Didier Harerimana, Congolese-born centre back Mukamba from Etincelles as well the La Jeunessetrio of Ali Kayambe, Yusuf Munyakayanza and Jimmy Kakure.
