Lt Mutabazi with 4 co-accused fellow prisoners attended the Nyamirambo Military Court to hear the accusations on having intentions to overthrow the existing power and terror. The trial has been adjourned due the lack of lawyers for some of the accused prisoners.
In green uniforms, Lt Mutabazi alongside his 14 co-accused prisoners appeared in the court to provide more explanation on their identity and to hear from the judges on the changes they accused of.
Each of the accused told the court his identity. After that they told the court that they were not ready to start the procedural judging. The accused ones told the court that they are not guilty on the changes they accused to have committed.
Lt Faustin Nzakamwita, the judge in chief, decided to suspend the hearings as to let the accused search for lawyers to support them throughout the judging procedures as the National Constitution stipulates. He, however, urged them to get their lawyers ready as soon as possible.
While some four accused said they will find their lawyers in few days ahead, Lt Mutabazi told judges that it’s hard for him to find a lawyer due to the lack of financial means.
After the court had heard on the claims of those accused prisoners, the court has decided that the procedures will resume on 25, November 2013.
