After a security company called Fodey Security& Alarm was banned from its activities, its former workers claim their salaries and all related duties they deserve.
Last month the Fodey Security&Alarm was banned from continuing its activities and immediately the company fired all its workers. The reason for the ban was that the company did not fulfill all required conditions and duties as a security keeping organ.
Former workers of the Fodey Security&Alarm affirm that they did not receive the salary of the last month. The ones who received the salary say they received a portion of the total amount.
One of the unnamed former chief commanders of the workers of the Fodey told UM– USEKE that the company is mistreating its workers in a clear way.
“I receive not less than 5o phone calls everyday searching for information on how far the salaries are getting ready. I do tell them to go to Head office in Kigali to get more information o the issue.” he said.
The Fodey Security&Alarm company is owned by a Somali businessman, Dr Soyan Oman. The company different African countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Uganda, Ethiopia and Rwanda where the company has been suspended.
In Rwanda the company was entrusted to keep the security of different financial institutions such as Fina Bank, MTN, RDB, SORAS, Rwanda People’s Bank ( Banque Populaire du Rwanda), Agaseke Bank, among others.
