Yesterday evening hours gunmen attacked the house of the Mayor of Musanze, Mpembyemungu Winfrida located in Musanze District, Muhoza sector, Ntenge cell. They killed the mayor’s child and seriously wounded her housemaid.
While the Mayor’s car driver went back home carrying Irish potatoes for the family, gunmen fired to the housemaid who came to open for the driver. Bullets wounded the housemaid and killed a one year old child that the mayor has adopted to be her child after the baby was thrown in the toilet but rescued by the Mayor.
The driver was left safe but was not able to identify the gunmen. Neighbors of the Mayor affirm that the child killed was under the responsibility of the Mayor who considered the child as her real beloved child.
Currently the evildoers are not yet found and brought to justice. Police keeps hunting the gunmen who wanted to kill the Mayor Mpembyemungu Winfrida of Musanze District.
