Yesterday the Minister of finance from the Republic of Niger Gilles Baillet told journalists that his country aims at learning a lot from Rwandan economic reforms that proved to be successful in past few years.
Minister Gilles Baillet said that during his brief visit to the Rwanda Governance Board where he met with the RGB boss Prof Shyaka Anastase, he learnt a lot on how services are delivered to clients on a successful way.
Minister Baillet lauded the remarkable development that Rwanda has achieved in different areas of the national life including good governance , information technology and in taxes and revenues management.
Minister Gilles Baillet mentioned the real threat that most of African countries are facing, namely poverty. He advised that for the threat to be overcome, coordinated efforts of all African nations are needed to successfully eradicate or at least to minimize the effects of poverty.
Prof Shyaka Anastase of RGB revealed to Minister Baillet key missions of the RGB namely monitoring the effectiveness of the governmental policies, analyzing how services are delivered and finally conducting research that relate to all administrative issues as to provide needed supports or advice.
Rwanda and Niger do not have specific bilateral relations but both nations are committed to develop them in a way that benefits to both nations.
