Tuesday, 14, January, Senegalese delegation met with the Rwanda National Police to learn more from the experience it has in preventing and in fighting against the gender based violence against women and against children.
During a discussion that took place at the Headquarters of the National Police at Kacyiru, RNP officers in the meeting told the Senegalese delegation the key challenges it faces in the fight against the violence against children and mothers and highlighted the measures taken to eradicate them.
Senegalese delegation told UM– USEKE reporter that the team has been impressed by the mechanisms taken by the Isange One Stop Center to fight against this kind of violence and appreciated them .
Aissatou Mbiaye told UM– USEKE that Senegal will set up a similar center to advocate for the rights of women and children to be protected against this kind of violence.
In Senegal, the GBV keeps increasing and Senegalese delegation chose Rwanda as a nation that proven itself to be able to reduce the rate of the GBV through strong institutions such One Stop Center of the RNP.
