S.Korean deputies will be in Rwanda tomorrow for a two days official visit to Rwandan Members of Parliament. The Korean visitors will be headed by the S.Korean Vice President of the S.Korean House of representatives, Park Byeong-seug.
During the visit to Rwanda, the S.Korean delegation will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial site at Gisozi to give tribute to the innocent Tutsi killed during the 1994 Genocide.
According to the Rwandan Parliament press release , both the S.Korean and Rwandan MPs will discuss on means and ways to expand economic collaboration between both nations.
At the agenda, the S.Korean MPs plan to visit different projects their government supports among which are the Saemaul Undong site’ located in Kamonyi and ‘Tour of IPRC Kicukiro’ in Kicukiro District in Kigali City.
Dr Ntawukuriryayo Jean Damascene , The President of Rwanda Senate, and PM Dr Pierre Habumuremyi will receive the guests from S.Korea during in private audiences.
Rwanda and S.Korea have a remarkable and growing partnership in different areas of development especially in IT. South Korea is working closely with Rwanda to widespread the internet connectivity in Rwanda, an connectivity that is meant to reach 4G internet speed in the coming years.
The S.Korea companies are known in Rwanda to sell smartphones aiming at fostering the use of IT tools for a sustainable development.
