As the world celebrates the International women day on 08, March, women working for MTN telecommunication company willingly provided blood to medical staff as to help the needy patients hospitalized in different health centers and hospitals.
Mary Asiimwe who is in charge of personnel said the MTN company staff, especially women participe in humanitarian activities aimed at empowering women in particular and all Rwandans in general.
She said that providing blood to people in need is a heroic and humane act which should become an everyone’s habit.
Asiimwe urged her fellow to benefit from the opportunities provided by the government of Rwanda as to develop themselves and their nation at large.
One of the MTN female staff Aline Uwingabire said she is proud of having provided blood the unknown person who will receive it and get healed afterwards.
44 per cent of the MTN staff are women who are proud of their contribution in the operations of the company. The MTN female staff is committed to keep to foster economic development of Rwanda.
