Yesterday Friday, South Africa chased three diplomatic agents while Rwanda chased six South Africans working for the Embassy in Kigali.
Minister Louise Mushikiwabo in charge of foreign affairs twitted that the government of Rwanda decided to chase the South African diplomatic staff because the South Africa did the same to Rwandan officials in S.A. She added that this nation hosts people willing to destabilize security in Rwanda.
News say that the chasing away of Rwandan diplomatic staff from South Africa is rooted on the fact that Rwanda is suspected to have been involved into the assassination of Patrick Karegeya killed on 1, January 2014 in Johannesburg, S. A.
Those Rwandan diplomatic agents have been given 72 hours to leave South Africa. Rwanda did the same thing to some of South African diplomatic staff.
Bilateral relations between Rwanda and South Africa deteriorated since the later accepted to host senior officers who were convicted by military courts.
In South Africa, those fugitives created an opposition political party called RNC that declared to overthrow the government of Rwanda .
