Some of the widows and left-alone survivors of the 1994 genocide in Gahogo Cell, in Nyamabuye Sector, Muhanga District received a first aid supplies from a local Cooperative of banking and finance( CPF Ineza).The aid was provided in order to back the widows during this commemorative period.
The provision of the aid took place on April, 13, 2014 during the closing up of a one week commemoration period. The Head of the CPF Ineza, Ntirenganya Frederic said that this aid was in due to help the widows endure the hardships left by the 1994 genocide as Rwandans commemorate the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi for the 20th time.
Ntirenganya revealed that his Cooperative every year searches for the most needy orphans and widows in the cell so to help them live comfortably.
We have collected first aid items which consisted of food supplies, among others, for the widows and left-alone wives so to discuss with them about their daily hardships, Munyaneza told UM– USEKE.
He said that one of inner wishes of his colleagues in the cooperative is to stand by the side of the survivors and provide needed help.
She urged good-hearted people to help her rebuild her house that is in bad physical condition.
We have been receiving a financial help but it unexpectedly stopped, she revealed.
Muzungu Elam,the Executive Secretary of the Gahogo sector informed local dwellers that the authorities are soon to rehabilitate different houses of the widows in cell.
He promised Mukeshimana Ephiphanie to be receiving the first aid as formerly done.
The Cooperative of Banking and Finance, CPF INEZA provided to two selected widows with food supplies worthy 200.000 Rwf.
Last year the Cooperative has provided other two left-alone widows from the Gafumba.
