During a press conference with media this Tuesday, the Rwandan renowned singer Kizito Mihigo with his three co-accused Cassien Ntamuhanga, Agnes Niyibizi and Jean Paul Dusingizumuremyi accepted their involvement into preparing and committing the deadly attacks in Rwanda.
The Chief of the criminal investigation department of the National Police, ACP Theos Badege explained the close connection between the suspects and the Rwanda National Congress and the FDLR both political parties accused to destabilize national security.
All the suspects are accused to be part of the above mentioned political parties accomplices responsible of conducting terrorist attacks in Kigali, according to ACP Theos Badege.
They also intended to kill highly ranking political officials, destabilization of national security, ACP Theos Badege revealed to media.
ACP Badege affirmed that Police arrested Mihigo one week ago for further investigation about the allegations according which he and his fellow coordinated efforts to destabilize the nation.
He said that other co-accused were arrested in the following days.
Ntamuhanga was the CEO of the “Ubuntu Butangaje” radio station, a Christian based radio station. He was arrested while he tried to flee, the Police said .

During the conference, it has been made public that Kizito was a partaker in the activities of RNC and FDLR .
ACP Badege said that additional proofs will be shown during the court hearings.
Kizito was a recruiter of young people to enroll in the RNC, which prepares a series of terrorist attacks in Rwanda
which Jean Paul had to conduct.
He is accused to attempt to throw grenades in Kigali city especially the ones thrown in the City Tower early this month. But the evil has been aborted ACP Badege revealed.
He had been promised to be rewarded with 3 million Rwandan Francs once the mission was completed. He received 300.000 as a mortgage.
Jean Paul has been attending the RNC and FDLR meetings as he accepted in front of national and international media.
The Police have shown to media many grenades that Jean Paul intended to throw in the Kigali City Tower.
Cassien Ntamuhanga
None knew the news of this journalist few ago. ACP Badege said it was hard to arrest him since he has planned to flee the nation.
Ntamuhanga is accused to be the operations manager of the web.
He gave 200.000 Rwandan Francs to Agnes Niyibizi who is suspected to operate as chief accountant of the network.
She is suspected to be the one who provided the money to Paul Dukuzumuremyi.
Regarding the recent controversial song, Mihigo told media that he sang it freely and without any influence of a given person.
He said that he finally adopted the political philosophy of the RNC.
Kizito told media that the allegations against him are real, adding that he adopted the ideology of the RNC after getting in touch with RNC officials through Facebook and WhatsApp.
Police revealed that all the accused intended to revenge the death of Patrick Karegeya.
If the suspects will be found guilty, they will be sentenced to either 15 to 25 years in jail.
The first court appeals will take place tomorrow April, 15.
