A big bus belonging to the transport company called TRINITY which normally serves between Kigali and Kampala has crashed with a lorry. News say that all people who were sitting in the forefront of the bus were seriously injured. The accident happened in the Jabana sector, heading to Uganda.
Among the wounded are the driver, his helper and two passengers who were sitting in the forefront seats of the bus.
The survivors of the accident told UM– USEKE that lorry entered their direction and crashed with the bus . The Trinity left Nyabugogo Park towards Kampala last night but was involved into an accident when it arrived in Kibuye area, Jabana sector.
After the accident the Traffic police intervened as to rescue the wounded and remove the cars from where the accident has taken place so that other cars might find their way forward.
Due to the deadly accidents that happened two days ago, the Internal security Minister Mussa Sheikh Musa Fazil Harelimana called upon an urgent security meeting aiming at assessing by which means and mechanisms these deadly accidents can be avoided or their impacts minimized.
In the meeting were the General Inspector of Police IGP Gasana Emmanuel and the Permanent Secretary in charge of transport Alexis Nzahabwanimana.
Carelessness, misbehavior, over speeding, phoning while driving, being drunk are some of the issues that lead to these accidents.
