A paint store called SOGECORWA has burnt in Muhima near ETO Muhima technical school. Owners of the business estimate the loss at 300 Million Rwandan francs. The incident happened yesterday around 7 h00 am.
One of the owners of SOGECORWA Kabango Emmanuel told Kigali today that he saw the smoke first and then the fire burnt. He called the Police to provide its anti fire vehicles.
We thankful to the police because of its quick intervention. If it delayed, all neighboring houses could have burnt, Kabango said.
He said that his business was protected by the Radiant Insurance Company.
During the rescuing operations, all local businesses that use electric power were closed , local people said.
Recently different business houses including supermarkets, bars, restaurants, trading companies among other businesses sadly were burnt due to frequently fires which destroyed a lot of goods.
Observers say that these frequent fires happen due to the bad conditions of electric cables.
