Many of the panelists in the 2nd International conference on Democratic governance in Africa, Asia and in Middle East, have expressed their points of views about the fact that sustainable development should be laid upon democratic governance and youth engagement for a sustainable development.
They expressed the need of exchanging skills and experiences among member states so to acquire advanced insights on the issues under consideration.
This conference will assess how democratic governance can lead to a sustainable development and how Africa, Asia and Middle East states can overcome economic hindrances and become self-reliant.
The panelists were for a common view that an effective and democratic leadership should involve the locals into the management of the public affairs.
The RGB Chief Prof Shyaka Anastase expressed his hope that the outcomes from this international conference will be of a great use for the states that attended the Summit. Prof Shyaka said that all such achievements can be lasting of the youth is not fully involved.
The leader of the One UN Rwanda, Dr Lamin Manneh affirmed that a sustainable development involves also the democratic governance as well as good economic planning.
The guest of honor Minister of local governance, Musoni James said that democratic governance does involve the history and philosophy of the nations that apply it.
He added that such democratic leadership remains effective as decision makers keep updating their knowledge and skills that enable them to deal with the ongoing political circumstances.
The international conference is attended by different experts coming from Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
