In further efforts to extend affordable telecommunications products and services to Rwandans, Airtel Rwanda has partnered with ITEL to introduce a new trendy and affordable data enabled phone dubbed KEZA.
Priced at Rwf6, 200 only, the phone comes with a 1.77” display colored screen, GPRS Data/Bluetooth/MP3/MP4/Torch light, 1.3MP, Camera, Battery 1000mAh (5days standby), Dual SIM and Wireless FM. It now stands as one of the most affordable data enabled phones on the Rwandan market today.
Commenting on the device, Airtel Rwanda Marketing Director, Mr. Indrajeet Singh said, “One of our mandates as a company is to enrich Rwandans with the most affordable telecommunications products and services. With KEZA, we bring you a phone that will enable the bigger Rwandan population to connect to the internet affordably.”
He added that KEZA comes as an upgrade with more modern features of all formerly introduced low end phones by Airtel including Viziyo, Nyampinga and now KEZA which is projected to connect Rwandans to the most affordable network in the country.
On purchase, the phone comes with free Airtel simcard and airtime and customers can be able to access all Airtel services including Airtel Money, Airtel internet among others.
The percentage of internet users in Africa and Rwanda particularly continues to grow with statistics revealed by Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority showing that over 3, 521, 823 million Rwandans were connected to the internet by end of June 2015.
According to experts, affordable internet enabled devices play a huge role in contributing to the accessibility of internet. Airtel Rwanda now comes in to support these efforts.
