MUGISHA Innocent is a graduate from Nyundo Art School currently labeled as School of Art and Music’. He used his talent to draw an image of Rwandan Minister of defence General James Kabarebe whom he hugely admires.
After graduating from Nyundo School of Art and Music, Mugisha attended more studies in the Kigali International Art College.
As he kept growing in skills he had the willingness and the burning desire to draw an image of Gen Kabarebe.
Mugisha told Umuseke that he wanted to exercise his knowledge on drawing but this, he said, had to be applied to a drawing of someone he admires more.
In 2014 he won the UKWIBUKA ART COMPETITION alongside more others awards as one of the best cartoonists in the competition.
Despite this talent, Mugisha deplores the fact that many people are not aware of the importance of art in the intellectual and economic arenas.
He is proud of his business and calls young people to nurture the spirit of creativity so to be socially fit and avoid diverging behaviors that harm the society.
The young man said that more artistic creations should be made and exported so to let the international market might be aware of Rwandan art and talents and generate foreign currencies for healthy economy.
