Nyamirambo – The match that was among the best since the start of the CECAFA Kagame cup , ended with the victory of the APR against the Rayon sports.
The normal time set for the match ended and both teams proceeded with the shooting of the penalties , a so called shoot-to-score or to loose.
The first penalties shootings did not bear a score to both teams. The last penalties were shot by Ndayisenga Fuad from Rayon sports who lost it and Mugiraneza Jean Baptiste widely known as Migi and he shot and scored making the APR being qualified for the semi-finals.
This victory of the APR is the second one over the Rayon sports in quarter finals of the CECAFA Kagame Cup. The first time APR won over the Rayon Sports in the quarter finals during the CECAFA Kagame Cup that took place in Tanzania in 2005.
The player of the match was Ndayisenga Fuad of Rayon Sports even though he lost the penalty that made his team loosing the match. It is his third time to be handled the title of the best player of the match.
