Hip-hop power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z will perform at the Grammy Awards airing live Sunday on CBS from LA’s Staples Center. News that the 32-year-old pop diva and the 44-year-old rap mogul will take the stage together broke after the network aired a promo listing their names Sunday.
However, it’s unclear whether or not the married couple of six years will actually be performing together.
Not only does Jay-Z cameo on Beyoncé’s new single Drunk In Love, she sang on his Grammy-nominated song Part II (On The Run).
In the past, Jay & Bey have also collaborated on tracks like 03 Bonnie & Clyde, Crazy In Love, and Déjà Vu.
The Partition singer and the Holy Grail rapper join previously announced performers Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Lorde, Daft Punk, Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
The 16-time Grammy winner – born Shawn Carter – is up for eight other Grammys Sunday, including Best Rap Album for Magna Carta… Holy Grail.
Meanwhile, the 17-time Grammy winner’s self-titled fifth album Beyoncé has reportedly sold 1.5 million copies.
There are still rumours that Madonna will join the Halo hitmaker on stage, and that Sasha Fierce will join Jigga for Direct TV’s Super Bowl concert February 1.
On Saturday, the powerful pair brought their two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy to the White House for First Lady Michelle Obama’s 50th birthday.
Beyoncé – who lip-synched at President Obama’s Inauguration – sang her hits Single Ladies and Irreplaceable before the star-studded crowd.
Despite the ‘no social media’ rule at the party, the mother-of-one was allowed to post a few snaps on her Tumblr page.
Last year, Forbes crowned the duo the highest earning couple due to their combined $95 million fortune.
The Crazy In Love couple – who are fast approaching the billion mark – earned $15 million more than runners-up Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen.
The Mrs. Carter world tour alone grosses an average $2 million per night.
The Bow Down singer will next take her world tour to Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena on February 20-21.
Jay-Z will next take his Magna Carter World Tour to the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
