People living in the Basumba Cell, Bigogwe Sector in Nyabihu District expressed their appreciation over the availability of a primary school constructed by the RDB in their neighborhood.
The school will be of a great use for the locals to get instructed and become highly motivated to protect the Ibirunga National Park, locals told the RDB guests yesterday.
The Rwandan government has set up a 5 per cent financial allocation to sustain social and economic infrastructures reserved for people living in the surrounding areas of the Rwandan natural reserves so to increase their conservation.
The representative of the parents Gakuru Onesphore expressed the appreciation from the parents for the provision of the primary school that was the only one missing across the cell.
Children traveled over six kilometers to reach the closest primary school , the parents’ representative has said.
He appreciated the availability of primary school, adding that such infrastructure will be a great motivational package for them to keep protecting the income generating national park.
The RDB representative Amb Yamina Karitanyi, promised the locals to provide them with all needed infrastructures as to help them live harmoniously with the natural reserves that are of great importance for the national income generation policies.
She urged them to send their children to school as to help them acquire the basic and fundamental knowledge for their future.
