186 boxes of school books delivered by the Rwanda Education Board to help primary school children learn better were found in a man’s house. The household chief revealed that to Police after waiting the arrival of those who gave the books to him but in vain.
Reports that arrive to Umuseke reveal that these books were given to that man by people from a campany that won the tender to distribute them in various schools in Karongi.
Students were meant to use them from since January as the school year started.
The man who lives in Gisanze Cell, Rubengera Sector, Karongi district.
The one is charge of education named Robert Hitumukiza in Karongi told Umuseke that the books were found hidden in one’s man house.
He revealed these books were left to that man by people from a company that is was mandated by REB after winning the tender to distribute them to local schools.
He said that Rwanda National Police launched a full investigation to find out hidden motives and actors in this shameful misconduct that negatively impacted on students’ learning.
