This morning in Kimironko, huge fire broke into a Hotel called Phionah Hotel located in Kimironko, Bibare, near the Umushumba mwiza location. The Hotel belonged to Mbabazi Winfred Phionah who passed away and dedicated the property to her children. The Police struggles to stop it but the fire is still huge as our reporter on ground informs.
Our reporter in place affirms that the fire continues to ravage the hotel as Police anti fire brigade tries to stop it from spreading.
The workers of the Hotel told our reporter that there is no remarkable reason that might have led to this fire brazing.
Eyewitnesses told Umuseke that the Hotel started burning at 10h30 AM and the Anti-fire and rescue brigade of Rwanda National Police arrived the scene ten minutes later.
The real cause of the incident is still to be identified. This Hotel was under the responsibility of children of the late owner who passed away.
Few mattresses were rescued from the fire but up now there is no news about whether humans lost their lives in the incident.
One of the Police agents Seminega Jean who intervened in the rescue operation told Umuseke that this incident has seemingly caused by a poor electric cable installation.
He warned the locals to be ready to inform the Police on the due time as this helps in intervening quickly.
It reduces the amount of items susceptible of being harmed, he added.
The Rwanda National Police Spokesperson, CSP Twahirwa Celestin in Kigali city told our reporter that further investigation is being carried out over this incident.
