Last night in Rusizi district, Bugarama sector gunfire broke into a local bar and has killed a woman. The shooters used grenades and guns in shooting at people who were sharing a drink. The current report says that a woman has lost life and many others have been seriously injured. The RDF spokesperson Lt Col Rene Ngendahimana told Umuseke that a widespread investigation is underway to arrest the suspects.
One of local leaders named Deo Habyarimana told Umuseke that the incident happened around 7 PM in a local bar where unidentified people entered and opened fire upon people who were sharing a drink.
He said that the dead woman is named Vestine Kangenzi who was 52 years old.
The injured ones were taken to a local health center in Bugarama sector. He reported that seven people are counted to have been seriously injured by the bullets.
Security organs quickly intervened as to chase away the perpetrators and manage the situation.
The RDF Spokesperson Lt Col Rene Ngendahimana said that one woman lost life in the incident, adding that further investigation are being carried out as to arrest the suspects. Eight people got seriously injured.
The Ryankana cell where the incident has happened is located to the borders with Burundi.
The same incident has happened last year where gunfighters entered in the area killing two people and ran away towards Burundi.
