From this Sutarday 09, February, buses that transport passengers coming from Kabeza, Kimironko, Remera and Kanombe will be passing through the Quartier Commercial before reaching other parts of the town.
The circulation will keep passing in its normal network but instead of leaving its passengers at the BK building, buses will continue at towards Inkuru Nziza quarter before heading to their its normal road network.
For a quick and safe transport system, cars of private persons are not allowed to park or carry activities in the squares surrounding these areas as to leave enough space to buses.
Jean Claude Rurangwa told Umuseke that the choice of the cars from Kabeza, Kimironko, Remera and Kanombe is because these regions have many passengers who have daily activities in the town.
He said that these new initiatives are meant to make the transport in these chosen areas quicker and safer.
To help the passengers arrive quickly in the areas of their occupations, buses will no longer leave passengers at a corners known as Statistiques and at Gereza , areas from where passengers had to move before arriving in another tax stations.
It has become a real problem of enough buses for an on-growing number of passengers in Kigali city.
Passengers are in big number in the morning and evening hours where they are rushing to get at work on time or returning back home.
The new transport network looks like: BK-Quartier Commercial , Inkuru Nziza ( in front of the newly towering buildings)- City Plazza- Feux Rouges ( in front of Centenary House)- and buses continue the journey towards either Remera, Kabeza, Kimironko or Kanombe.
