Accompanied by his wife, President Obama arrived in Tanzania yesterday in his official visit to African countries. Critics say that USA needs to get hold on Tanzanian underneath wealthy such as gas and uranium ,among others.
A crowd of people were preset at Air port to experience the arrival of the US President in Tanzania.
During there joint Press conference, both Presidents told journalists that the bilateral cooperation between them is rooted on commercial and trade partnerships.
Talking about the DRC crisis ,President Obama revealed that he appreciated fact that Tanzania to have sent troops DRC so to help in ensuring peace building process in the country.
Experts find that US and China are competing to conquer the wealthy that are in Tanzania underneath soil wealthy.
It is estimated that China invested in Africa not less than $ 200 M according to the Bloomberg Capital market.
The US President Obama visiting South Africa said that US is willing to launch a wide spread investment initiatives that will increase economic growth of both Africa and USA as well. ‘The investment was equal to $ 7 M’ ,he said. This project is called ‘Power Africa’.
Obama added telling Tanzanians that US intends to double the electric power supply of Sub-Saharan electric power plants.
Particularly to Tanzania, there is an electrical dam that is soon to b built. The dam will be called Ubungo Power Plant in Dar-es Salam.
