Yesterday the Butaro Ambulatory Cancer Center was officially inaugurated in the Burera District, Northern Province. The Butaro Ambulatory Cancer Center(BACC) will play a remarkable role to cure various types of cancer in Rwanda and across the region.
The BACC staff is entitled to play a role in mobilizing population about ways for prevention of the disease. The center will provide medical treatments for people suffering from this painful disease.
Dr Agnes Binagwaho highlighted the commitment of the government to ensure adequate health infrastructures for all Rwandans.
Dr Paul Farmer for Partners in Health, affirmed that three measures that are effective in the fight against the deadly disease include a preventive measures, adequate medical treatment and a constant check up about the disease progress or regress.
Musabyeyezu Adelphine who suffers from the cancer urged all Rwandans to get diagnosed as to find whether cancerogiuios genes appear so to receive medical treatment earlier.
The BACC receives not less than 1000 patients coming from all over Rwanda to receive effective medical treatments.
