Yesterday, the representatives of different churches met with both Police and Kigali city officials to discuss about the new steps to take as to cease disturbing neighbors with heavy sounds.
The churches’ representatives have agreed to self regulate so that the harmful noise might not happen again.
The Mayor of the Kigali city Fidel Ndayisaba reminded the religious figures that heavy noise harms people’s hearing organs,
Nevertheless, he told them to practice the religious activities but in a moderate way so the respect the lives of their flocks.
One of the religious leaders present in the meeting, Pastor Antoine Rutayisire urged his fellow to respect the regulations of the city for their best interest and the ones of their followers.
Another Pastor Sam Rudahunga who leads the Gospel Mission international Church revealed that a joint committee of religious leaders will be set up as to regulate this issues and avoid the arrests observed recently from happening again.
One of the most important decisions taken during the meeting stipulates that the arrests of religious leaders will no longer happen as the later ones are committed to cease harming people’s ears with heavy noise and will be assessing each other for a common interest.
