As a new mother Ciara was craving an exciting new look to embark on the next chapter of her life. And it seems she took inspiration from rapper fiancé Future as she debuted a head full of waist-length dreadlocks on her Instagram on Saturday.
The 28-year-old swapped her sleek blonde locks for something a bit more edgy and proudly showed off the new ‘do as she headed back to work for Calvin Klein.
In the first image she shared she is seen in an olive green sweater bearing the Calvin Klein Obsession logo.
Her masses of freshly dreaded locks are seen in variety of browns and blondes and are swept to one side as the star looks directly at the camera. She captioned: ‘Back 2 Work and Im Obsessed…:)’
In other snaps from Sunday, the Like a Boy singer posed on a sunlit patio and wore a black sweater dress as she looked seductively at the camera.
The blonde dreads looked even more dramatic in the sunshine and the full length could be seen cascading down the beauties back.
In one shot she captioned: ‘Sunny Sundays’ and in another she said simply ‘attitude’. And it’s safe to say her new hairstyle certainly has attitude.
Ciara, who has been relatively quiet on social media since giving birth, also shared a touching photo of her tiny son as she celebrated 4th of July at home.
The tot, who is named after his father, Future Zahir Wilburn, is seen wearing a white onesie with patriotic blue stars. The Work singer places a hand on his tummy and captioned: ‘Together We Make Red White and Blue:) Happy4th’
She said: ‘We [go] over really personal stuff from the woman’s side of things. We’ve had great conversations and it’s been really cool.’
The artist denied reports she spent $20,000 on the baby’s bedroom.
She captioned the picture of the baby’s room and posted it on Instagram, writing: ‘This Is All Surreal. Everything About This Time And Process…Wow!!:)’
Future’s real name is Nayvadius D. Wilburn, which he later changed to Nayvadius Cash and is now known by his rap name Future.
