The National Commission for the Fight against Genocide(CNLG,French acronym)denounces the partiality of ICTR in judging Genocide suspects. The crucial matter relates to Theodor Mellon accused of having provide unfair judgement and let suspects escape.
According to BBC, CNLG stipulates that recents convicts might have been judged unfairly and that some cases might be revised so to be fair enough.
Jean de Dieu Mucyo, the Speaker of the Commission said that some cases like the ones of Mugenzi Justin and Mugiraneza Prosper should be revisited. According to him the judgment was partial.
Dr Diègene Bideri, the Lawyer of CNLG confirms that these cases deserve be to revisited so to convict suspects according to the depth of the crimes they committed .Another case shown as unfair is Bagosora’s.
He was top commander of The Escadro de la Mort, a hybrid killing machine of Interahamwe and FAR solders but who ,surprisingly as Dr Bideri says, saw his sentence reduced .
According to CNLG ,all of that have been masterminded by Judge Theodor Mellon ,the one to have presided the judgement procedures to those Abatabazi government officers.
CNLG denounces Theodor Mellon’ misbehavior few days after the General Persecutor of the Republic Mr Ngoga Martin told BBC that Mellon’ deeds make up a big juridical mistake that does not provide justice to Genocide survivors and dishonors ICTR as an institution of UN.
