President Museveni has made a third army reshuffle within two months, with the latest changes announced last Saturday by the Chieftaincy of Personnel and Administration. In the changes, the former army spokesperson, Lt Col Paddy Ankunda has been sent to the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence as the Director of Strategic Communication, a new directorate formed last year.
It was headed by Lt Col Deo Akiiki, who is currently on a military course in the US.
Other officers transferred include Maj Gen Francis Okello, the former commander of Uganda Rapid Deployment Capability Centre in Jinja and attached to African Union, who has been sent to the office of Joint Chief of Staff.
Brig Geoffrey Goloba, the commandant of Juniour Staff(Gadaffi) has been sent to Moscow as a Military Adviser to replace Brig Paul Lokech, the recently appointed Second Division Commander in Mbarara
The new three Deputy CMI bosses are Col James Kaija, Lt Col Ddamulira and Michael Kibuye
