It is the first time that an high ranking officer in the RDF appeared in the court to accuse Col Byabagamba for the allegations upon which he is prosecuted to have committed in the South Sundan.
Col Bukenya Ngaramba told the Court that Col Byabagamba uttered criticizing words against the ruling governemebnt while he was serving in South Sudan.
He said that Col Byabagamba said that as he was sharing meal with his fellow soldiers during a lunch time.
Col Bukenya told the court that the Byabagamba was unhappy and critical about the death of late John Sengati, claiming that he was killed by the ruling government.
John Sengati was short dead at the beginning of the year 2013 due to the alleged disputes over the commerce of the precious stones.
Another key accusation that Col Bukenya raised was that Col Byabagamba criticized the death of Karegeya who formerly was the chief intelligence.
At the other side, the lawyer of Byabagamba called that witness a liar. For lawyer Mukunzi Valery who defends Col Byabagamba, the witness was not as sure as he should be and therefore his claims should not be taken as worthy.
After accusing the witness as a liar, the atmosphere in the court became agitated and the chief judge clamed the situation.
