The Rwanda National Police has appointed Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Celestin Twahirwa as the new Commissioner for Public Relations and Media as well as Police Spokesperson.
CSP Twahirwa, who has just returned from a peacekeeping mission in Darfur, where he served as Sector Commander, is a lawyer by profession and served in various capacities in Rwanda National Police.
He also attained various career professional courses, the recent being the Senior Command and Staff Course he attended in Ghana.
He replaces Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Damas Gatare, who has been transferred to head the department of Community Policing.
