Minister Prof Malimba inspected different departments of the university that include computer laboratories, as well as the technical school affiliated to the university.

The Université Libre de Kigali plans to set up a medical school and hospital as revealed by the ULK’s senior management.

Min Malimba lauded the university’s quality of teaching and the availability of useful and productive learning facilities.

He, however, called upon the university’s management to keep improving on it and deliver exemplary education package that Rwanda deserves.

One of the issues he called them to improve is to use more digital facilities in teaching, learning and in filing documents.

The rector of the university De Ezekiel Sekibibi thanked the minister for his insights and promised to improve on areas that captured the minister’s attention.

Since its inception in 1996, more than 29 thousand people graduated from the ULK.

The institution has over 28 PhD holders who lecture in the university.
