In his inspection journey, the General Persecutor Muhumuza Richard told the Muhanga court staff that good services that the institution provides to its clients result from the lack of cases that are not yet treated.
He lauded the workers from Muhanga court for their unreserved efforts to assess all cases and reduce them at a remarkable rate within six months.
Muhumuza urged the judges in Muhanga to keep proving the better services in the coming days.
Muhayirwa Steven affirms the crimes that the court treated within six months ago mostly included of cases of people thieving of other people’s properties, sexually based violence, drug abuse and traffic accidents, among others.
The strategy to achieve this resulted from the fact that the staff members was working to handle all these cases was based on the group working and this strategy produced positive fruits, he said.
The court performed at 94% within six months. Some of the staff members of from the Muhanga court told the General Persecutor their concerns about the unsatisfying salaries they received after three years of services.
They wish the monthly salaries should be increased as to cover their needs.
Muhumuza revealed to them that a Ministerial decree is soon to be signed and that this will allow all staff members of persecution services to receive an increased monthly salary.
Muhumuza Richard replaced Ngoga Martin. Throughout his visit, he plans to visit other related institutions to learn more on the progress and performance of persecution services and bring his helping hand to fixing specific problems.
