IF practice is what Uganda Cranes Coach Micho Sredejovic has been looking for up north, then his team must be wounded enough to give their fans a deserving result at the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup and the Africa Nations Championships later in Kenya and South Africa respectively.
In a second successive build up match, Uganda succumbed to Egypt in an international friendly in Cairo on Wednesday.
Uganda went down 3-0 to the Pharaohs, who had earlier beaten an entirely second string side 2-0 on Monday night.
Egypt’s goals were scored by Zamalek stars Ahmed Eid, Mohammad Abdel-Shafy and Ahmed Samir .
Sredejovic had assembled the mainly second or even third choice players for the tour of Cairo with the hope of proceeding to Amman in Jordan to play Iraq in another friendly but it was cancelled.
The team is expected back in the country on Thursday to concentrate on preparations for CECAFA and the Africa Nations Championship finals in November 2013 and January 2014 respectively.
