Tuesday,17,September,2013-Rwandan women attended a one day elections session to vote their representatives in the coming Parliament. The attendance to these elections was relatively high. For instance in South Province the attendance the attendance surrounded 90% .
However according to reporters from different sites where elections took place, women from rural areas attended the elections late because they went to cultivate or do other specific activities the example is taken from Rwamagana District.
For today’s elections, the voting body was to be composed by 2/3 for it to start voting.
In some specific areas,this standardized number delayed to accomplish,which delayed elections to start in specific sites in Kicukiro District.
During the after noon ,counting the results started and were around to finalize around 5 pm in some specific areas.
Journalists found a case whereby men were involved into the voting body so to be complete, meaning to get the 2/3 of the required voters.
Around 4 pm ,counting started and provisional results are to be publish soon in the evening hours.
Regarding observers ‘involvement,they were few but present into the voting rooms.
Tomorrow elections to vote representatives of people living with disabilities and representatives of youth will take place. One deputy will be chosen from candidates for people living with disabilities seats while two candidates will be voted to represent the youth in the House of MPs.
