FERWAFA postpones the coming championship

According to the schedule, the Rwandan Football championship(2014-2015) was to meant to start this week-end and the timetable of matches to take place was published. However the Rwandan Football federation ( FERWAFA) communicated that the starting of the championship is postponed as to deal with the issue concerning foreign players whose names have been changed. The championship was scheduled to start on, September 18, 2014.

The decision came in after the special committee to deal with  this matter advised the FERWAFA to postpone  the championship as the issue is undergoing a careful assessment.

The fact that the Congolese Agiti Etekiama that was named  Daddy Birori  has cost Rwandan Amavubi national team to loose its chances to attend the CAN to take place in Morocco. Due to this, the current FERWAFA executive committee is willing to eradicate such tricky mistakes that currently prevails in different football teams including the national one.

According to the special committee entrusted to deal with such  cases, the championship can’t start before all the players who are likely to be involve in the investigation are not yet checked out.

The dates for  the matches did not change rather the starting date of the championship was postponed for another date highlighted above.
