She was born on August, 10, 1962. She is widely known for her philanthropic activities in regard to orphan children and widow supporting related actions.
She is a pioneer in promoting girls’ education and in the fighting against sexual abuse committed to girls and women in Rwanda. Jeannette Kagame became the first Lady on March, 24, 2000 when Paul Kagame became the Head of State of Rwanda.
In 2011 Jeannette Kagame was among first ladies of African Heads of States who initiated projects highlighted above in addition of HIV/AIDS fight across Africa.
In 2002 she initiated her own project aimed at supporting girls’ education and empowerment called Imbuto Foundation (Imbuto meaning Seed).
This project has sinc its inception supported girls to excel in their schooling and, a focus being put in supporting girls from needy families.
Her close neighborhood affirms that she is a calm and careful woman but willing to share friendly activities and occasions with others.
